First and foremost, tnyb.it was designed to be a URL shortening service. The purpose is to give you a short URL so you can post a link without exhausting all your character limits. The additional conveniences of this type of service is that it provides a short and easy to remember URL for your content as well.

Tagging And Social Bookmarking

We are embarking on tagging and social bookmarking within tnyb.it. There's nothing worse than needing to reference your favorite URL, but not remembering what it is and how to get it. Within tnyb.it, you can tag your shortened URLs. This allows you to quickly reference any URLs. If you have a URL you constantly use as a reference, tag it with "reference". When you login, click on the tag "reference" and there's your URL.

Social bookmarking takes tagging further. It allows you to see what's trending throughout all of tnyb.it and its users. Social bookmarking allows you to see what people are tagging and how popular that tag is. The more users tag their URLs with "reference", the higher in the list it will move. Click on a tag and see all the URLs people are linking under that tag. You can even see click popularity.

Liking and Disliking

Voice your opinion about URLs. Let the world know if a URL is worth visiting or worth avoiding. If you visit a URL that is posted to tnyb.it and think others will love or hate, let them know.

Keeping Track Of It All (Statistics)

We understand a large number of users need to keep track of their links and their popularity. We've taken care of that for you. tnyb.it inlcudes statistics for click-throughs. These stats inlcude clicks per day, referring url and referring apps. You get a detailed breakdown of how your link is doing on a day-to-day basis so you never miss a beat.

Combine the statistics with the social bookmarking and now you can work and be social at the same time.

Remote Requests

Just because you use our service, doesn't mean you have to visit the site all the time. If you so desire, send those requests remotely. We not only have a way to make requests via http, but we even have a {jQuery} for those developers out there.

Let's face it. We all want people to know it was our idea. Well, we completely agree and therefore have given the ability to create vanity URLs for not only specific shortened URLs, but for your account as well. The purpose of the vanity URL is to have a short URL, but with a targeted message. This allows you to share short URLs in social networks, but promote your brand at the same time.

RSS feeds

RSS feeds are instantly enabled once you setup a vanity URL. You can share your URLs with whoever you please. Don't worry though. We have a privacy tick for URL. You don't have to share all of your URLs, just the ones you prefer.
